A NEW PLATFORM FOR HEALTHIER, SAFER, AND MORE SUSTAINABLE BEHAVIOUR
The Behavioural Design Platform combines scientific insights with real-world experience. The Behavioural Lenses method offers organisations the opportunity to design new interventions that will enable end users to contribute to their own health, safety, and a sustainable society.
Encouraging behaviour geared towards optimal physical and mental health.
Encouraging behaviour geared towards a safe living environment at home, at work, and in public spaces.
Encouraging behaviour geared towards a sustainable relationship between humans, animals, and the environment.
THE 'BEHAVIOURAL LENSES' METHOD
The Behavoural Lenses help designers and multi-disciplinary teams to focus more closely on the behaviour of the target group when designing interventions for sustainable and healthy behaviour.
The various ‘lenses’ in the tool provide insight into how you can automatically influence facets of behaviour, how the target group feels about the target behaviour, and the target group’s motivations.
The Behavioural Lenses toolkit is available at www.ucreate-weconnect.nl.
The Persuasive by Design behavioural model was developed by Utrecht University of Applied Sciences researcher Sander Hermsen, based on a wide range of social sciences research. It offers guidelines for designing persuasive interventions based on relevant insights from the field of the social sciences.
Persuasive by Design consists of three basic principles that enable designers to evaluate existing concepts and to formulate interventions that enhance the users’ autonomy. The model also offers the option of analysing the target groups and setting up the desired behaviour in a structured manner.
